If we were to give a simple definition of an ambivalent word as convergence this could be "Direction strictly maintained towards an identical point of arrival". A definition perhaps generalistic and ambiguous but able to give an excellent vision to the world of "Point of Convergency" the debut album of the Nugara Trio.
Francesco Negri, Viden Spassov and Francesco Parsi are three young musicians from different cities of Italy, respectively Genoa, Turin and Florence, who meet at the seminars of Nuoro Jazz 2021 where, thanks to a provident stroke of fate, will gather together because winners of the annual scholarships as best students. It is the birth of the Nugara Trio, who decide to pay homage to the place of their birth and the magic of the Sardinian land with a name derived from Nùgoro, ancient name of Nuoro.
Three musicians, three different souls, three spirits that crossed their journey almost by chance, like three lines that from the unknown of infinity intersected in one point, the point of convergence, the point from which the music of the Trio was born. A music of difficult artistic and genre, rich, complex, melodic: each of the three musicians brings inside the disc what is his musical and cultural baggage, often in conflict, the result of a process of creation never banal and sometimes contradictory but always able to reach that degree of balance and harmony that makes "Point of Convergency" a disk that lives on its own life, and that is renewed in each of its 8 tracks.
As the vertices of a triangle converge in a single central point, the three musicians have poured into the songs some of their major musical influences to which they owe; from classical and romantic music, to folk and world music, pop, progressive rock and finally jazz that, with its ability to engulf suggestions and return them with a new face, closes the circle.
