The album closes with Mayas, the song that brings together all the extra-musical influences on the album. The name refers to some records of Borneo and was written during the quarantine, the period spent by the leader writing music and reading the works of Emilio Salgari. The song focuses on a mysterious and twilight atmosphere in slow time in which the piano and bass build a theme made of thematic intertwinings and passages obliged with a rhythmic thought changing. Improvisations on the harmonic structure of the main theme are windows of impromptu recomposition within a narrative development forced.
